Asset Construct Editing
When an Asset is selected, the top toolbar options provide editing options as shown above and explained below.
This button will 'Bold' the name of the Asset in the construct on the canvas.
This button will 'Italicize' the name of the Asset in the construct on the canvas.
Using the HTML Color Picker that drops down from the 'Change Text Fill Color' Option, users can change the text color of the Asset's name in the construct on the canvas by selecting the color associated to the desired color and using the scale below it to select the color or simply inputting in the Hex, R, G, B fields the proper codes and numbers.
To change the color fill of the Asset construct on the Canvas, the 'Change Fill Color' option can be used with the HTML Color Picker dropdown, by selecting the color associated close to the desired color and selecting fromt he color canvas in the dropdown or simply inputting in the fields the proper codes and numbers.
The 'Reset color back to default' option will reset the construct fill and text color back to the defaulted gray and black.
The 'Mark External' option allows users to exclude an Asset from the diagram's root entity's decomposition. It adds an 'External' label and changes the Asset's color to a darker gray to distinguish it (as shown below). The Mark External button then also changes to 'Mark Internal,' if users want to include the Asset back into the decomposition and remove the label. This feature is particularly usefzful when including an Asset in a diagram that does not need to be part of the hierarchy.
Input/Output Construct Editing
Bold
This option will Bold the name of the Input/Output construct selected on the canvas.
Italicize
This option will Italicize the name of the Input/Output construct selected on the canvas.
Change Text Fill Color

The Item Flow options will add arrows to the line for users that need to show flow. The flow options are Undirected, Directed, Reverse or Bidirectional.
Multiple Constructs Editing
Users may drag their cursor outside of the constructs and a box will appear to select as many Asset constructs the user desires. Many features on the top toolbar will appear upon doing so for the user to edit multiple Asset constructs at once. Let's go over each option as highlighted above.
Bold
This option will Bold all the names of the multiple Asset constructs selected on the canvas.
Italicize
This option will Italicize all the names of the multiple Asset constructs selected on the canvas.
Change Text Fill Color
Using the HTML Color Picker that drops down from the Text Fill Color Option, users can change the text color of the multiple Asset constructs selected on the canvas by selecting the color associated close to the desired color simply inputting in the Hex, R, G, B fields the proper codes and numbers.
Change Fill Color

This selection will align the constructs vertically for the multiple Asset constructs selected on the canvas.
Align Horizontally
This selection will align the constructs horizontally for the multiple Asset constructs selected on the canvas.
Clone Shape
The Clone Shape option is to bring size uniformity to the diagram's constructs. When this option is selected, the green highlighed entity will be what the other constructs clone to so they are all the same size.
Mark External
The 'Mark External' option allows users to exclude multiple Asset constructs from the diagram's root entity's decomposition.
Physical I/O Settings
The above Physical I/O Diagram Settings menu dropdown is the wrench icon on the top right of the toolbar frame. This button is a fixed dropdown and does not change dependent on what the user has selected. Let's delve into the options available in this dropdown below.
Check Model
The Check Model option will check the Input/Outputs in the model and check for directionality, Conduit relationships and that Actions are associated to it. A modal will pop up to provide users the sugestions to fix them. These I/Os will also be indicated with colors as indicated below:
- A yellow line means there is a missing relationship to the I/O. Either a Conduit and/or actions are missing.
- A dash line indicates it is a conduit and it needs an I/O relationship that the Conduit transfers. Upon this fix, the line will be the I/O entity.
- A red line indicates there is an issue with the directionality of the I/O between the Assets.
Hide Warnings
With this option, the color warnings for the Input/Outputs in the diagram may be hidden or shown.
Hide External
This option will show or hide the external Assets in the diagram.
Show/Hide Cross- Project Indicators
Users may show (or hide, if shown) the indicators on the constructs brought into the model from another Innoslate project.
Auto Number
Users may Auto Number the constructs with the modal that pops up when this option is selected. Users may autonumber the lowest level of the Assets and/or add a Prefix.
Layout, Reset Diagram & Help
The final options provide users to reset their diagram after changes and layout the diagram after changes are made.
The very last option, 'Help,' will send users directly to the Help Center page for the Physical I/O Diagram for convenience.
