Tree Diagram Modifications & Settings

We'll cover the modification options for constructs and the Settings options availabe for the Tree Diagram .

The previous article covers basic diagram constructs and behavior. The below article will go over the Tree Diagram's modifications and settings in more detail.

Construct Modifications

When a Name is selected, the top toolbar frame provides options for users to modify it's appearance on the canvas, as shown above. Let's delve into the highlighted editing options below.

Bold

 

This option will Bold the name of the construct selected on the canvas.

Italicize

This option will Italicize the name of the construct selected on the canvas.

Change Text Fill Color

Using the HTML Color Picker that drops down from the Text Fill Color Option, users can change the text color of the name selected on the canvas by selecting the color associated close to the desired color and/or inputting in the Hex, R, G, B fields the proper codes and numbers.

Change Stroke/line color

Using the HTML Color Picker that drops down from the Change Stroke/Line Color Option, users can change the color of the node of the construct selected on the canvas.

Reset Color back to default

The Reset color back to default option will change the construct selected on the canvas back to the default black color.

Line Modifications

Change Stroke/line color

Using the HTML Color Picker that drops down from the Change Stroke/Line Color Option, users can change the color of the line construct selected on the canvas.

Reset Color back to default

The Reset color back to default option will change the line construct selected on the canvas back to the black color.

Tree Diagram Settings

The wrench icon displayed above is a fixed dropdown located at the top right of the toolbar. It provides users with access to various settings options that can be utilized for the Tree diagram. Below, we will walk through each option on the list and provide an explanation for each.

Show/Hide Cross-Project Indicators

This selection allows users to hide or show the indicators on the constructs being brought in from other projects.

Auto Number, Layout, Reset Diagram & Help

Users may Auto Number their diagrams, where a modal pops up to allow users to autonumber the lowest level displayed or provide a Prefix.

The final options provide users to layout their diagram and reset the diagram after changes have been made.
