Outline
To indicate a visual or auditory cue from a display in the Operator’s environment (i.e. indicator, gauge, etc.), Sopatra allows for an Output Display file, which can be either a .docx or .txt file.
Formatting
The Output Display file formatting is very simple. Add each of the phrases you wish to capture as Output Displays to a .docx or .txt file, each on its own separate line. Upload this file with the SOP when running Sopatra to add the Output Displays.
Note: Each phrase is case-insensitive; however, to capture ‘Radar Display’ and the plural ‘Radar Displays’, both phrases must be added to the Output Display file.
Using the Output Display file in the image at the top of the page and the SOP above, Sopatra generates an action diagram with the branches and Procedures for the two Actors explicitly stated in the SOP; however, there is also a third branch ‘Automation Output Display’. This branch contains a Procedure that receives an I/O of the same Output Display name to indicate to the Operator that some indicator or display has information that needs to be processed by the Operator during this SOP step, which in this instance is ‘Airspeed Indicator’.
Adding Output Displays to your Sopatra SOP model is as simple as that!
