Acronyms File
Sopatra allows for an Acronyms file to map the Actor acronym to the full Actor name, which can be either a .docx or .txt file.
Outline
If the SOP you wish to analyze with Sopatra contains acronyms in the Actor names, Sopatra allows for an Acronyms file to map the Actor acronym to the full Actor name, which can be either a .docx or .txt file.
Formatting
The Acronyms file formatting consists of three (3) parts as shown below:
“Acronym” + “=” + “Full Name”
Each acronym definition should be on its own line; however, the spacing between the names and the equals sign does not matter. Both the ‘Acronym’ and ‘Full Name’ parts of the expression are case-sensitive!
Using the Acronym file in the image at the top of the page and the SOP above, Sopatra generates an action diagram with three branches- one for each of the Actors, except you’ll notice the ‘PF’ and ‘PM’ Actors have been translated to ‘Pilot Flying’ and ‘Pilot Monitoring’, respectively. ‘New Actor’ remained the same since there was no associated Acronym definition in the file.
