Learn about the Metadata Image Tool for Entities, powered by LLM Technology
The Metadata Image AI feature in v4.11 introduces a cutting-edge tool for systems engineers to enhance documentation with visually engaging metadata images. By leveraging AI, this feature enables users to generate images directly linked to an entity’s context, enriching communication and providing additional clarity for complex projects and entities.
Metadata Image AI empowers engineers by creating images for project entities. With support for customizable styles and formats, the feature ensures that every image aligns with the specific visual and contextual needs of the user.
The Metadata Image AI is valuable in its ability to:
- Generate customized AI images tied to the specific context of entities.
- Offer a wide range of styles (e.g., 3D Model, Photorealistic, Line Art) and sizes (e.g., Square, Landscape, Portrait) for versatile use cases.
- Streamline image creation, allowing engineers to focus on refining project details.
Important Note: This feature is available only to organizations that have Image AI models enabled in their organization preferences. Enabling this feature requires an Admin to add a personal or business API key for the AI image models, ensuring control over costs associated with generating images. Accessing the “Metadata Image AI” Feature
To begin, navigate to the Metadata Tab of the any entity. Locate and click the “Generate Image with AI” button, represented by an image icon. This serves as the starting point for creating a metadata image.

Image Configuration
Once the “Generate Image with AI” button is clicked, the Image Configuration Modal appears. Here, users can:
- Review and edit the prompt automatically generated based on the entity’s context.
- Select an image style from options like 3D Model, Abstract, Cartoon, Cinematic, Digital Art, Isometric, Line Art, Minimalist, Photorealistic, Pixel Art, and Retro ensuring alignment with project needs.
- Choose the image size to suit the intended use case.
- DallE3: Square (1024x1024) | Portrait (1024x1792) | Landscape (1792x1024)
- DallE2: Small Square (256x256) | Medium Square (512x512) | Large Square (1024x1024)
- Make any necessary adjustments before proceeding.

Click Generate Preview with AI to preview the image.
Previewing the Generated Image
In the Preview phase:
- View the AI-generated image to ensure it meets your expectations.
- If the image needs refinement, adjust the prompt, style, or size and regenerate the preview.
- Once satisfied, click Apply to finalize and embed the image into the entity’s metadata.

Embedding the Image
After clicking Apply, the generated image is embedded into the Metadata Tab of the selected entity. This image becomes an integral part of the entity’s documentation, enhancing clarity and communication across the project.
