Below we'll provide a comprehensive overview of the Reports available in Innoslate's Compilation View.
Innoslate's Compilation View offers several export report options, each catering to different project needs. These comprehensive reports can be conveniently accessed by clicking on the 'Reports' button located on the top toolbar.
After clicking 'Reports', a window appears to select the desired report.
Below is a summary of the reports accessible in the Documents View, including examples of the output for reference.
Please keep in mind that the reporting from this view is limited to the entities included in the corresponding Compilation's view. If you need to generate a report on additional entities not included in the document, please use the Reports out of Database View.
Basic Document Output (DOCX)
This option allows you to download a .docx file of your Compilation, suitable for sharing with stakeholders or editing in a word processor.
A window will pop up, shown above, to give the Basic Document Output a 'File Name' then select 'Create' to start the download.
Basic Tabular Output (CSV)
If you need a simple, structured view of your data, the Basic Tabular Output provides a .csv file with all the entities in your database. This format can be easily imported into any spreadsheet software, like Excel, for further analysis or manipulation.
When CSV is selected, the fields update, as shown above. The fields will allow users to choose what attributes to 'Include' in the report ( since this is a Compilation all attributes are available, so be sure to select what is applicable for the report!). Users can select from 'Sorting' options such as Hierarchical, Class, Name, ID & Number. Enter a file name then select 'Create' to export the report.
Comment Report (XLSX)
The Comment Report export option generates an Excel (.xlsx) file of all user comments from the Compilation. This is a valuable tool when you want to review, track, or archive the conversations and decisions that have taken place during the course of a project. Above displays all the fields available for this report. Users may choose to 'Include' entity options, 'Options' of Comments attributes, and a 'File Name'. Select 'Create' to export the report.
Compilation Report (XML)
For a more comprehensive, machine-readable output, choose the Compilation XML Report. This provides a .xml file of your Compilation, allowing for easy data interchange between software applications. All 'Export' options that can be included in this export are Comments, Peoject Preferences, Workflow, Related Entities, Cross Peoject Entities, Baselines and History. Enter a 'File Name' and select 'Create' to export the Report.
Compilation ZIP Export (INNO)
For a full output of the Compilation, including files and images, choose the Compilation ZIP Export. This generates an Innoslate file (.inno) which can be imported into any other Innoslate project, preserving all of the relationships, attributes, files and images from the original data. All 'Export' options that can be included in this export are Comments, Peoject Preferences, Workflow, Related Entities, Cross Peoject Entities, Baselines and History. Enter a 'File Name' and select 'Create' to export the Report.
